This story picks up right where Sundial leaves off. They are back home in the states, and Whitney has some unexpected side effects from the reactor. It is tough for her to balance the image of a typical teenage girl while trying to save the world and learn the truth behind every facade around her. And trust me, there are many more truths to uncover.
I wasn’t disappointed with this book after reading book one. In fact, I was extremely upset that book three was not out already. Come on, authors, hurry up! You have a reader waiting. lol
The plot thickens in this book almost to a fault. At times I admit that it felt like there was too much information being given to me with too many secrets interwoven. In that aspect, I think the authors could have lengthened the book to cover it or cut some of them out as they came way too fast. But they did not lessen the enjoyment of the story.
Characters surprised me left and right. Some I could see coming. Others blindsided me. But they kept me guessing.
Once I started reading the story, I couldn’t put it down. I had to finish it only to find another cliff hanger. How could you leave me right when she discovered that….. Not going to tell you! You have to read it for yourself.
A great read. This is a unique YA book that goes beyond the paranormal romantic ones that are so popular with vampires and shifters. This one pulls at the Tom Clancy lover that I am. I’d love to see more of this type.
Note: This book was purchased with my own funds with expectation of a positive review.
