This was a very enjoyable read. I found myself enjoying it from page one. There was enough mystery that kept me reading. The author adeptly gave me insight yet kept me just enough in the dark which in turn had me wanting to read more to discover what was going on. I did not get all the secrets of each character immediately. That was good and well done.
The pace of the story was perfect for me. It wasn’t drawn out with many boring, descriptive scenes. It wasn’t so fast that I wished the author had stopped long enough for the description I needed. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
And the characters? They were unique in their own right. I could visually see them as I read and enjoyed how they were complex as typical humans. When you thought you had the characters figured out, they become more of an enigma. Loved that!
It is a story of mythology, mystery, treasure, and secrets. Even when the story is over, there is more left to explore. That’s frustrating but will have me looking for more.
Give this story a try. It is a great read that if you are an avid reader you can read in a day. I don’t think you’ll be regretting it.
