This is a book on reflections of family and friends and the many situations we could find ourselves in. It starts with the title piece of the author’s father following in the TV character, Tim Allen’s footprints. the project doesn’t turn out quite like everyone hopes. From there the author goes into other situations from dinners to dealing with clients.
In reviewing the actual story, I’ll limit it to overall reaction I felt. It was funny. I thought of many funny things that I had been involved in and could so relate to many of the characters. If you like some lighthearted humor and situations you might have found yourself in as well though not quite the same, you need to give this one a try.
Now for the audio part of the review.
The narrator was good. She was able to convey every word to be clearly as well as the meaning of each section. The only problem I had is a very personal one that probably doesn’t bother anyone else. I cannot stand it when one person tries to imitate other voices. The narrator deepened her voice to be a man and then tried to be the different women as well. That was a personal turn off. It was fake then when made the story less effective.
Other than that, this was a good audiobook. I’ll leave it up to you how you go from here. If you are like me and don’t like the fake voices, I still suggest you give it a try as the stories themselves were very funny.
