This story had me hooked from page one. I read a lot. I mean I can a couple of books a day if the world cooperates with me. So I come across a lot of good books that I would suggest to other readers who like that genre and style of writing. This one had me. Sadly it was just a prequel and didn’t give me what I wanted...the rest of the story. So what will happen? I’ll bite and buy the next book. lol
This novella kept the reader active. I wasn’t bogged down in needless descriptions. There was just enough for my mind to pick it up and finish filling it in. I really like stories like that. Too much description is a turn off for me.
Characters were unique and alive on the page. They were real in my mind. The author did a wonderful job giving them attributes that had them stand out in my mind and gave me a very realistic picture of them. I want to get to know them better.
There is just a little language in this book. F-bomb????????? But it was nothing that detracted from the story.
I think I’ll be looking into more from this author and in this story series. A lot of talent that will keep you guessing and hooked to the very end and beyond.
