This is not a history of fairies. It is not an analysis of them. It is an exploration of their world through the eyes of a very, very talented artist. I cannot tell you how often I just open this book for the sake of looking at the pictures and reading the interesting and many times funny descriptions of each fairy.
The book is designed to be two in one. One side talks just about the good fairies. Then you flip the book over to see the bad fairies. Really cool!
And the drawings? Wow! They are the most creative and detailed ones I’ve ever seen. You can actually feel as though you are looking and being looked at by the fairy. They are not your standard fairies. These are so unique and come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and attributes.
I use this book as a coffee table conversation piece as well as just something to lose myself in. If you like fairies or fantasy worlds or even know someone who does, you have to get them this book. It is one of the coolest books I’ve ever bought.
Note: I purchased this book with my own funds with no expectation of a positive review.
