From the very beginning I was hooked as it started back in time and moved forward to the present day. My mind was racing as it tried to figure out what was going on. The author expertly put in slower paced sections to let the reader catch her breath before making it race once again.
I loved the fact that not everything was revealed. The true nature of the spirit was kept very quiet with hints dropped here and there. I went back and forth over the truth, but in the end I was only partly right.
There are a number of characters pivotal to the story from the inn’s owner, the mysterious woman in the woods, and the guests who are willing to do anything to feel the power of creativity.
This is a great read that isn’t too scary but can give you the creeps. Would love to see this as a TV movie.
Life mystery and suspense? Like the paranormal with a bit of near horror? You have to read this book.
Note: I received this book from free Amazon download days with no expectation of a positive review.
