This is an autobiography of a woman who made a lot of decisions in her life that impacted not just her but others and her future. Starting as a young teenager, she makes poor decisions that leads to even more so. The book leads the reader through her life, sharing the joy and sorrow with the author.
I have to admit that I am hesitant to read such emotional books. Why? Because they are emotional. I have to be in the right mood for them. Finally I was able to pick this one up and read it.
While this book isn’t graphic or crude, the author also doesn’t gloss over the subject matter. She doesn’t try to hide her actions or justify them. She lays it there out for the world to see. I can only imagine how hard it was to write some of this, but when you read the book you’ll discover that she has had practice revealing her true self. I can’t help but admire this woman.
It’s a story of truth, faith, forgiveness, determination, and strength. The author isn’t perfect. She isn’t superwoman. She is a flawed woman with a heart of gold that turned tragedy in her life to a ministry for helping others.
A book for you if you need inspiration and hope.
