This is the story of a young girl who finds herself rescuing a boy who is fleeing from someone dreadful but he won’t say who. She takes him home to recover, but sadly everything gets worse. Everyone around them start to act strange. The girl can’t understand why people are starting to treat her differently and her boyfriend refuses to go past first base. It’s not long before she finds herself in a mess and the dark of an occult group.
The story kept me interested. I had to know if my suspicions were right. It was dramatic and intense. The characters were unique and well-written.
The plot was unique. It was well-written and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and had me wanting to know more about them.
Warnings? Yes, there is some occult in here. Nowhere does the author say the occult is great and you should get involved as some reviewers seemed to feel. The bad guys are part of it. They want to do bad things to the young teens. The teens want to get away.
There is a sequel, but to be honest, the book tied up enough threads for me that the sequel really didn’t pull at me. Might read it one day.
Note: I purchased this book with my own funds with no expectations of a positive review.
